Additional features and use

All-metal Vieweg dispensing needle – nickel-plated brass hub, stainless steel 1.4301 cannula, Luer-Lock thread. With no plastic parts it withstands solvents and higher temperatures, suits anaerobic and UV adhesives, and can be cleaned and reused.

A 0.40 mm (Gauge 22) bore offers a good balance of precision and flow: it handles flux, medium-viscosity adhesives and fine-grain solder paste. The extra-long 100 mm cannula lets you dispense deep into cavities, tubes and housings; the required pressure increases with length.

This is the finest size in the range; for higher flow choose G20 (0.60 mm). The same bore is also available in 13 mm and 50 mm lengths. The Luer-Lock thread fits standard dispensing cartridges and syringes from 3 to 55 ml as well as dispensing valves with this connection.
