Shielding ESD Bags (Metallised)

Shielding bags (metallised shielding bags) provide the highest level of ESD protection — a metal layer inside the bag wall blocks external electrostatic fields and also prevents discharge from the contents. They are mandatory packaging for ESDS components transported outside the EPA zone where no other form of protection can be ensured.

Unlike antistatic (pink poly) bags, they also protect contents from external fields — which is why they are standard packaging for finished assemblies, modules and sensitive integrated circuits in transit. Available with and without zip, transparent or opaque, in a range of standard sizes. Compliant with MIL-PRF-81705 Type III and IEC 61340-5-1.
