Dry Cabinets for MSL Components
Dry cabinets solve the problem of moisture-sensitive components (MSL) — components such as BGA, QFN or optical parts absorb moisture and then crack or delaminate during soldering. A dry cabinet keeps humidity at 1–5% RH without having to repack into moisture barrier bags.
When to choose a dry cabinet instead of MBB bags: You have MSL 2 or higher components and intermittent production — every time a bag is opened, the "clock" per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 starts and you have to monitor floor life. A dry cabinet stops the clock and components are available at any time without repacking or baking. You process expensive BGA or optical components where delamination is not acceptable. You run an assembly line with breaks overnight or at weekends and don't want to pack stock every Friday and bake it on Monday. Or you need to document storage conditions for a customer or certification body.
We offer dry cabinets from desktop models to high-capacity cabinets for warehouses, compliant with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033C.
