What antistatic bags for Euro containers are used for
In EPA areas, components are commonly moved in Euro containers, which do not necessarily have antistatic properties themselves. An antistatic bag placed inside limits the generation and build-up of electrostatic charge and protects the contents during handling, replenishment and transfers between workstations.
What to look for when choosing
- Size – the bag should match the inner dimensions of the container (common footprints are 600 × 400 mm and 400 × 300 mm) and the filling height.
- Material type – antistatic material for everyday handling, conductive or shielding for higher protection requirements.
- Closure – open bags for quick handling, closable bags to protect contents during longer storage.
- Standards – ESD protection according to the EN 61340 series.
