ESD Ionisers — Static Neutralisation
Ionisers solve a problem that cannot be solved by grounding — they neutralise the electrostatic charge on objects and materials that cannot be grounded: plastic housings, glass surfaces, films, PCBs in transport cassettes or components in their original packaging. By blowing ionised air they remove dangerous charge directly at the workstation or during the production process.

When you need an ioniser and how to choose a type: You work with plastics, glass or films that cannot be grounded — without an ioniser the charge remains and endangers components even in an otherwise correctly designed EPA zone. Use a bench-top ioniser with a fan to protect a single workstation where operators handle non-conductive materials — assembly of transparent covers, population of plastic housings, handling of films. Mount an ioniser bar above a conveyor or production line for continuous neutralisation of moving material. Use an ioniser gun for targeted treatment of a specific spot or for cleaning applications in cleanrooms. A ceiling model covers a larger area without taking up bench space.
